SHATHAVARI (Asparagus recemosa)

Coined as the “Queen Of Herbs”, Shatavari has been used for centuries as a hormone balancer and a general tonic to uplift female health and libido. Being a powerful adaptogenic herb, it not only relieves one from physical and emotional stress but also manages diabetes mellitus, prevents high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and helps in the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections, oedema, infertility, depression and cancer.

GOKSHURA (Tribulus terestris)

Being an amazing skin emollient, these prickly dried fruits of the Gokshura tree treats skin infections and inflammatory conditions. It also helps in treating the various signs of ageing like wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, etc. and bestows smooth, glowing, revitalized skin. Land Caltrops has been used for centuries as a general tonic by the Ancient Greeks. It is used in Ayurvedic medicine to maintain efficient kidney and urinary functions and in reducing renal discomfort. It is effective in treating urinary tract disorders because it promotes the flow of urine and cools and soothes the membranes of the urinary tract. Land Caltrops has also been described as an aphrodisiac in Ayurveda.

AMALAKI (Embilica officinalis)

The benefits of Amalaki are numerous, which part of why it is considered to be the best antiaging ingredient in all of Ayurveda. Metabolism, elimination and normal liver function and excellent for the hair and skin. The fruit is an important source of Vitamin C, minerals and amino acids. It contains three times the protein concentration and Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) concentration than apple.

Cows milk is rich in vitamins and calcium. It is strengthening and gives moisturization. It promotes bone and hair health.

DARUHARIDRA (Berberis aristata)

Also known as Haldi, this vibrant yellow coloured spice checks the worsening of Pitta doshas like jaundice. The powerful anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties of turmeric help in evading infections and treats various skin conditions. Tree Turmeric is a revered herb in Ayurvedic medicine. Possessing antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and antiseptic properties, the herb is used as a cholagogue, stomachic, laxative and diaphoretic.

MADHUKA (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Its roots as choorna are mainly used for Ayurvedic preparations as well as single drug. Yashtimadhu oil externally used for various skin conditions as well as decoctions is used internally for respiratory disorders and digestive disorders.

BRIHATI (Solanum indicum)

The use of Brihati in this oil helps reduce Vata disorders. It treats different types of skin infection and nourishes and rejuvenates the skin.

SARIVA (Hemidesmus indicus)

It is known for its refreshing coolant action, blood purifying effect & Pitta pacifying properties . Sariva detoxifies the ‘ama’ (toxins), hence it is very useful in gout, arthritis, chronic rheumatic disorder and glandular swellings and Beneficial in burning micturition and yellowish urine.

MUSTHA (Cyperus rotundus)

Mustha helps improve digestion due to its Deepan and Pachan properties, if taken in the recommended dosage. Mustha  oil is an effective home remedy for managing stomach disorders due to its antispasmodic and carminative properties.

SIGRU (Moringa olieifera)

It is commonly known as Drum stick tree. Its root bark, stem bark, leaves, fruits, and seeds are used for medicinal purpose. Leaf juice is used in conjunctivitis and paste is applied when there is swelling around the eyes. The leaf decoction is internally taken for body ache and dysmenorrhea.

VARUNA (Crataeva nurvala)

Also known as Three-leaved caper, the bark and leaves of the tree are mainly used for medicinal purposes. Varuna bark is recommended for blood purification, urinary-bladder problems, erysipelas, lymphadenopathy, BPH (Enlarged Prostate), and calculi.

DRAKSHA (Vitis vinifera)

Commonly known as grapes, it is used in both dry and wet form. Its juice is given to children mixing with water it relieves constipation.  Regular application of Grapes in the form of a face pack protects skin from harmful ultraviolet radiation. It is used in the preparation of asavas and arishtas.

BADRA (Aerva lanata)

Commonly called the mountain knotgrass, it is a diuretic with anti-inflammatory, antihelmintic, anti-bacterial, and mild analgesic effects. It is used in the treatment of lithiasis, cough, asthma, and headache and as an antidote for rat poisoning.  The decoction of the root of Aerva lanata is given in a dose of 50-60 ml to treat renal calculi and retention of urine. Cold infusion of the whole plant is given in a dose of 30-40 ml to treat cough and sore throat.

YASHTI (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Yashtimadhu is beneficial in treating acid peptic disease. It reduces gastric acid secretion and inhibits the formation of peptic ulcers. It is also one of the world’s most widely researched herbs for its role in supporting the body’s normal digestive function. Useful in Hyperacidity, Useful in Peptic ulcer, Useful in Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).

DEVADARU (Cedrus deodara)

Also is known as Cedrus deodara or Himalayan Cedar, it is very effective in neurological disorders, asthma, pruritus, infested wound. Devadaru is also effective in arthritis and headache. Deodar oil contains two major sesquiterpenoids a – and ß- himachalenes. Deodardione are also isolated from the essential oil. The oil shows in-vitro antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory activity.

HAREETHAKI (Terminalia chebula)

Popularly known as Indian walnut for its innumerable benefits or Indian hog plum in English, it is extremely valuable for its role in improving hair health. It is useful for treating scalp infections like dandruff, itching and hair fall. It also strengthens them from the roots, prevents breakage and loss of hair and bestows silky soft, smooth hair. Chebulic Myrobalan is one of the three key ingredients in Triphala, a natural compound that provides overall support for digestive function and helps ensure that the digestive tract works at optimal levels. The Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India has documented the use of the powdered herb in intermittent fevers and chronic fevers, anaemia and polyuria. Chebulic Myrobalan can also be used to treat gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders

AMALAKI (Emblica officinal)

Commonly known as the Indian gooseberry, it is high in Vitamin C and natural antioxidants known as flavonoids and polyphenols. When used for hair treatments, it is found to strengthen and condition follicles down to the roots. Amla oil can promote hair growth, reduce dandruff, and prevent the greying of hair.

VIBHITHAKI (Terminalia Bellerica)

Known as Beach almonds or Bedda nut tree, it is rich in Vitamin C, and other antioxidants that nourish the hair roots.  Bibhitaki helps in making the roots of the hair stronger, minimizing hair fall and preventing premature graying of hair strands.

MANJISHTA (Rubia Cordifolia)

Manjistha or Indian Madder is considered to be one of the best blood-purifying herbs. It is mainly used to break down blockages in the blood flow and remove stagnant blood. Manjistha herb can be used both internally and externally on the skin for promoting skin whitening. It helps manage acne and pimples by inhibiting the growth of acne-causing bacteria due to its antioxidant property.

PIPPALI (Piper longum)

Pippali is known as a “Tridoshic” herb as it suits all body types. Thus regular consumption of pippali in suggested quantity can help you to immune your body to quite an extent. Pippali has Anti-microbial, Anti-inflammatory activity. Consumption of pippali is said to exhibit antispasmodic action and hypoglycaemic effect, which is believed to lower blood sugar level. It is also reported to be the antagonist in respiratory depression. Also, due to its cooling post-digestive effect, consumption of pippali is considered as a safe and effective option to avoid all sorts of digestive disorders.

PUNARNAVA (Boerhaavia diffusa)

Punarnava, a potent ayurvedic, has immense health benefits and has been in use since ancient times in treating a host of health anomalies. Commonly known as Hogweed, Sterling, Tarvine in English, Mukarati Kirei in Tamil, Raktakunda, and Shothaghni in Sanskrit, it goes by the botanical name Boerhavia diffusa. Punarnava has powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, which is extremely beneficial in reducing joint and muscle pain, thereby reducing the chances of chronic autoimmune inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

ASWAGANDHA (Withanya somnifera)

Ashwagandha is commonly used for stress. It is also used as an “adaptogen” for many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these other uses. Ashwagandha contains chemicals that might help calm the brain, reduce swelling (inflammation), lower blood pressure, and alter the immune system. The root contains steroidal compounds, which include the lactones Withaferin A and carbon-27-glycowithanolide, known collectively as the Withanolides. The Withanolides are responsible for the varied medicinal applications of the herb. Winter Cherry also contains a fair amount of alkaloids including atropine, pseudotropine, isopelletrine, anaferine and saponins, which impart medicinal properties to the herb.
